It may not look like it, but I actually have been keeping up with the Diva’s weekly challenges.  I just haven’t had the time to get the pictures posted of them.  But I had a break this week, so I’m back in the game.  The challenge this week was to do something with Maria’s new tangle Tripoli from zentangle.com.  I had trouble getting the hang of this one, and when I finally did, it seemed to morph into something else altogether.  This seems to be a popular pattern, but I’m not too sure about it, yet.  Anyway, here is my entry.

The diva’s challenge this week has been generously supplied by the talented Genevieve Crabe at tangleharmony.com. She has provided one of her awesome Zendala templates for us to tangle on. I hope I’ve done it some justice.

After a somewhat stressful weekend, it was nice to stop and bury myself in a zentangle.  Here is my contribution to Laura’s challenge for this week.  Stripes.

Laura’s challenge this week was for everyone to create something from a string which she provided (see it here).  It’s been interesting to see all of the different variations that have resulted in this challenge.  I enjoyed it because it more or less forced (or shall I say challenged?) me to do a more typical Zentangle tile rather than the ZIA type pieces I normally end up with.  Anyway, here is what I came up with.  It’s actually a little darker than I normally like to do, but it came out ok.

I’ve managed to fall a week behind.  Life (and sometimes death) just has this annoying habit of getting in the way sometimes.  So here is my entry for Challenge 22 (A Little Help From My Friends) with a little Challenge 21 (Oof) mixed in.  See the challenges here.  I got my DH to draw my string this morning.  Of course, his first response was… ‘huh?’, but he did it anyway.  So here you go.  Oh.. and sorry for the low quality pics.  I don’t have my scanner available today.
